M11 speed camera catches Audi driver speeding over 50mph

Joseph Levy, of Hernes Road, Oxford[1], was caught on January 26 last year speeding on the M11 between junctions five and four. The 46-year-old was recorded driving in an Audi A3 at 57mph in a 50mph speed limit zone. He was stopped by Essex Police.

Levy's speed was recorded using an automatic speed detection device which can measure the speed of traffic in up to four lanes. At Colchester Magistrates' Court on December 14, he was fined GBP230 and disqualified from driving for six months. Levy was also ordered to pay court costs of GBP110 and a victim surcharge of GBP92.

The total amount the driver will need to pay is GBP432.
