M62 crash: Traffic chaos for drivers after collision

National Highways said shortly before 9.45am that a lane on the eastbound stretch of the motorway was shut between junction 25 and junction 26.

Heavy traffic was reported at that time as a result of the incident – with seven miles of congestion going back to junction 23, near Huddersfield.

Shortly before 11am, National Highways confirmed vehicle recovery was complete, all lanes had reopened and delays were “clearing quickly”.
