Malvern link crash closes crossroads with ambulances at road

The crash at the junction of Richmond Road and Pickersleigh Avenue in Malvern happened shortly before 11.30pm on Thursday (January 11). The road had to be closed in the wake of the incident but nobody involved in the crash was trapped inside the vehicles or needed hospital treatment and no arrests were made. The crossroads where the incident happened also intersects with the A449 Worcester Road in Malvern.

Firefighters are pictured at the scene while a police car on blue lights is also parked across the road. A crew from Malvern Fire Station received a call at 11.28pm to 'an RTC at the junction of Richmond Road and Pickersleigh Avenue in Malvern'. A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "The incident involved two cars, both of which were on all four wheels with no persons trapped.

The crossroads was closed with both police and ambulance in attendance. The incident was marked as pending closure at 12.23am." A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We were called to Richmond Road in Malvern shortly before 11.25pm last night following a report of a two-vehicle collision.

Nobody was injured and no arrests were made."

A spokesperson for the West Midlands Ambulance Service told the Worcester News: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC at the junction of Pickersleigh Avenue and Richmond Road at 11.20pm, one ambulance attended the scene.

We assessed one patient, who was uninjured and able to be discharged at the scene."
