Man, 39, fined for resisting police officer in Basingstoke

Darren Barnes, from Portsmouth, on Monday, January 8 resisted PC Catchpole from executing their duties in Basingstoke. On the same date, in Basingstoke, Barnes used threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress. On Wednesday, January 10, the 39-year-old pleaded guilty to the offences.

During a hearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on the same date he was sentenced.

Magistrates ordered fines of GBP250 be paid and compensations costs of GBP75.
