Man charged for alleged assault on Police officer

[Source: File] A 27-year-old unemployed man from Lami is set to appear in court today on charges of assaulting a police officer. The alleged incident took place on New Year’s Day.

It is alleged that the man struck the officer twice with a cane knife before fleeing the scene.

He was apprehended three days later.

The man is now facing a charge of serious assault.
