Man charged with trying to hire a hitman to murder the guy whose crash killed his mom
WAKE FOREST, N.C. (TND) — A man who lost his mother in a crash almost eight years ago is under arrest, accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill the other driver. Rhett Michael Barlow of Raleigh, N.C., was arrested Saturday by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division, police in nearby Wake Forest said.
Barlow is reportedly in the U.S. National Guard and back in March 2016, a dump truck[1] slammed into the back of his mother, Michelle Barlow’s, minivan. That dump truck, which didn’t slow down, was driven by Donald Caulder Jr., who faced a misdemeanor charge.
Barlow is charged with soliciting to commit the first-degree murder of Caulder.
His bond was set at £1 million.
Police did not say how Barlow was caught.
