Man dead and women fighting for life in Edinburgh hospital after three car smash
A man has died and two women are in hospital in Edinburgh[1] following a three vehicle crash in a Scottish town. A 48-year-old man died at the scene of the crash in Clackmannanshire on Alloa road at Park Terrace in Cambus around midnight on Saturday January 7. The crash[2] involved a a Citroen C1, a Ford Fiesta and Audi A4.
Police say the man was sitting in the back of the Citroen C1, reports The Daily Record.[3] Two woman who were passengers in the Citroen were rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
The driver of the car is in a ” serious but stable condition” with one passenger being described as being in a “critical” condition. Two people in the Audi A4 escaped from the crash uninjured.
The 32-year-old female driver of the Ford Fiesta has been arrested in connection. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around midnight on Sunday, January 7 2024, police were called to a road crash involving a Citroen C1, a Ford Fiesta and an Audi A4 on Alloa Road at Park Terrace, Cambus, Clackmannanshire. “A 48-year-old man, the rear seat passenger of the Citroen C1 died at the scene.
The driver and front seat passenger , both adult females, were taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. “The passenger’s condition is described by medical staff as critical, and the driver’s condition as serious but stable. The two occupants of Audi A4, a man and woman, were not injured.
