Man hospitalised after motorbike crash in Swaythling

Police officers were called to High Road in Swaythling this morning following a crash involving a pedestrian and a motorbike. The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The motorbike driver, an 18-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries. Hampshire Constabulary confirmed no arrests have been made. The crash at around 7.30am this morning caused delays[2] in the area.

The road was later cleared once officers dealt with the incident.
