Man remains in hospital following fatal Cramlington crash

The three-vehicle collision on the A192, in Cramlington, Northumberland, saw a huge emergency response at 9.30 pm on Friday, December 22, when a Suzuki, Range Rover and Ford Focus crashed into each other. Police have now confirmed that a 41-year-old man, who was also in the Suzuki, remains in hospital as a result of the serious injuries that he sustained in the crash, though his condition is stable. Two others were treated in hospital after the incident – a 17-year-old male also in the Suzuki, and the 36-year-old driver of the Range Rover. Both have now been discharged from hospital.

The 52-year-old female driver of a Ford Focus was uninjured in the collision. Previously, a spokesperson from Northumbria Police said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are firmly with the family and loved ones of the two young people who have sadly lost their lives and those who have suffered injuries in this collision. “We will offer them all of the support they need and ask that their privacy is respected at this time.

“We are asking that anyone who may have seen the moments leading up to the collision or have information regarding the three vehicles involved being driven in the area to contact us immediately.
