Men arrested in Suffolk in burglary probe

A series of raids were carried out by officers in the early hours of Thursday morning in Bedfordshire, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
Two men in their 30s, from Bedfordshire, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder which took place in October 2023. One of the men was arrested on suspicion of burglary offences in connection with a series of burglaries and vehicle thefts. Two more men were arrested in Suffolk for their suspected involvement in the burglaries.
All four men have been charged and remanded ahead of future court appearances. Police have also seized two cars suspected of being used in crime for further examination. Chief Inspector Milo Brown, who led the operation, said: “The success of this operation is a testament to the dedication and seamless collaboration of everyone involved.
“This includes the vital support provided by our partner agency colleagues at Bedford Borough Council, East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust and Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue.
“Operations like this demonstrate our shared commitment to disrupting criminal activity, even when it crosses county borders.
“Violent and organised crime pose a serious threat to the safety of our communities, and we will continue to work tirelessly and cohesively to tackle these issues head-on.”
