Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after crash
A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after a serious crash in Colchester (Image: Google Maps/Newsquest) A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious two-vehicle crash. Emergency services were called to the crash involving a motorbike and car in Straight Road in Colchester at about 5.30pm on Tuesday.
The rider of the motorbike was taken to hospital by air ambulance, where he remains with life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the motorbike was also taken to hospital after he suffered suspected serious injuries. The road was closed whilst officers carried out investigative enquiries at the scene and reopened shortly after midnight.
Police are now appealing for anyone with any information to contact them, quoting incident number 1082 of January 2.
