Motorcyclist dies in crash on rural Cambridgeshire road

Police are investigating after a motorcyclist in his 20s died in a crash on January 8 on a rural Cambridgeshire[1] road. Officers are appealing for witnesses after the fatal crash near Ramsey Forty Foot at about 5:30pm. The incident happened at Forty Foot Bank, near to the Benwick Road junction.

A grey BMW X1 travelling east collided with a red Motor Morini X-Cape 650 motorbike travelling in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, died at the scene. He was from the Ramsey area.

Police arrested a man in his 50s, from the Chatteris area, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been bailed until March 27. Anyone with information or who has dashcam footage should report it through the Cambridgeshire Police website using reference 35/1729/24.
