Mount Vincent crash: Driver killed after car smashes into a tree in the Hunter Valley

A young man has been killed after crashing into a tree near NSW[2]‘s Hunter region.
The man, aged in his 20s, was driving on Sandy Creek Road in Mount Vincent, near Newcastle, just before 5.30am on Wednesday when he lost control of the car.
Emergency services were called to the scene but he was unable to be saved.
The man was the sole occupant of the car.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the crash.
A report has been prepared for the coroner.
