New Year’s Day Mercedes and Fiat crash in Cheltenham sent woman to hospital

A woman suffered whiplash and other injuries in a New Year's Day crash in Cheltenham. The crash reportedly involved a black Mercedes which collided with a white Fiat on Tewkesbury Road at around 3.35pm on January 1. Gloucestershire Police say the Mercedes, which had been travelling from Hayden's Way towards Cheltenham, continued over the traffic lights at the junction with the A4019 Tewkesbury Road when it collided with the Fiat.

A woman driving the Fiat visited Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with cuts, bruising and whiplash in the incident.

Investigating officers are now appealing for information and witnesses of the crash.
