Megan, 26 – who didn’t wish to be pictured for fear of retaliation – said: “It looks like someone has thrown a cider bottle and smashed my partner’s back boot window.[1] “We don’t think anything was taken but we’ve had our things all over the place because of the holidays, so we aren’t totally sure. “Christmas was expensive for us and it’s going to cost us about GBP80 to replace the window, plus however much more to have the broken glass cleared, which we can’t afford right now.
The incident happened between December 31, 2023 and January 1, 2024 (Image: Morgan Woodhouse) “It’s been really stressful[3] for all of us because it’s not only going to cost us money to fix it, but we’re also without our car which is necessary for us to go to work and the shops.” The family contacted the police and reported the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm police received a report on 1 January 2024, where damage was done to a motor vehicle parked in Penn Grove overnight on 31 December/January 1. The family say it will cost around GBP80 to replace the rear window and more to have the glass from the car cleared (Image: Morgan Woodhouse) “Enquiries are underway.
