Norwich: Three jailed after vulnerable woman had bleach poured on her in seven-hour torture

Three people have been jailed for a total of more than 30 years for the “horrific” kidnap, torture and sexual assault of a vulnerable woman. The victim was filmed as she was hit around the face and head, had her hair pulled out and bleach poured over her during a “hugely traumatic” seven-hour ordeal. Defendants Elisa Robinson and Jodie Colvin, both 23, arranged to meet the victim in Norwich city centre on 6 February last year, before driving to Colvin’s home in the village of Mulbarton.

Robinson and Colvin, together with a teenage boy who cannot be named, caused the victim “considerable physical and mental anguish”. She was “marched out” of the property at around 5.30am the following morning – and threatened with further violence if she told anyone about what happened. The victim raised the alarm at a nearby house before the police and emergency services were called.

Forensic analysis confirmed the attack had taken place at Colvin’s home before she, Robinson and the teenager were arrested at Robinson’s home, in the village of Attleborough. ‘Nothing will ever be the same again’ In a statement read out at Norwich Crown Court, the victim said: “I really struggle to get my head around how a human being could treat another human the way I was treated.

And why did it happen to me? “I can barely sleep as I keep reliving the whole thing and if I do sleep, I wake up terrified from recurring nightmares. “The knock-on-effect of the assault and the damage it has caused to myself, and my family, will last forever.

Nothing will ever be the same again.” Robinson and Colvin were both jailed for 12 years and nine months after admitting to assault by penetration, causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, false imprisonment, and inflicting grievous bodily harm at a previous hearing. Robinson also admitted administering a poison or noxious substance with intent and two counts of assaulting a police officer.

The teenage boy was jailed for six years after admitting false imprisonment and inflicting GBH.

He was also found guilty of assault by penetration and causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.
