One dead and four hurt in city horror smash

Police are investigating after a man died and four others were injured in a two-car crash in Coventry.[1] The tragedy happened in Firefly Road at around 10.15pm last night (January 13). A 33-year-old man, driving a white Seat Leon Cupra, was sadly killed in the crash. He was announced dead at the scene.

The driver, a man in his 50s, and two women passengers in their 60s, remain in hospital today in a stable condition. Police have spoken to witnesses and officers are reviewing CCTV from around the area to establish exactly what happened. A West Midlands Police[4] spokesperson said: “We’d ask anyone who was driving on, or near, Firefly Road last night to check their dashcam as it may offer vital details about the collision.
