One driver killed, second driver hurt in crash near Rock Hill, SC troopers say

One driver was killed and another was hurt in a two-vehicle collision near Rock Hill Thursday, officials said. The crash happened before 11 a.m. on Lesslie Highway near Stone Post Lane, southeast of Rock Hill, said Cpl. David Jones of the S.C. Highway Patrol[1]. A GMC truck collided with a Kia sedan, Jones said.

The Kia driver died at the scene, officials said. The person who died has not yet been identified by the York County Coroner’s Office[2]. The truck overturned after it went off the road following the collision, Jones said.

The driver of the truck, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital with injuries, Jones said. The fatal wreck remains under investigation by the highway patrol and coroner. Check back for updates on this story.
