OVI driver crashes into Pepper Pike police cruisers
PEPPER PIKE, Ohio (WOIO) - A driver was arrested in Pepper Pike on New Year's Day after crashing into two police cruisers.
According to a post on Pepper Pike Police Department's Facebook Page, their officers were investigating a crash on I-271 when the car struck their cruisers.
Officers said the car involved lost control and drove into the grass median where the officers were working.
The car hit the two police cruisers and a car being loaded onto a tow truck.
Thankfully, PPPD said neither of their officers or the tow truck driver were hurt in the accident.
The driver of the car was not injured.
Police said he was arrested for OVI and improper handling of a firearm.
According to PPPD, he registered a .192% BAC, over double the legal limit.
