Paramedics issue statement as Stafford murder probe continues

Paramedics say nothing could be done to save a woman at the centre of an ongoing murder investigation. Emergency services had been called to a property on Stafford’s[1] Orchard Street on Friday to reports a woman had been found dead at the address. Subsequently Staffordshire Police[2] said a 78-year-old man, of Stafford, had been arrested on suspicion of murder before being released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Today West Midlands Ambulance Service[3] say that nothing could be done to save the 77-year-old woman. Paramedics were called just before 10.15pm. A spokeswoman said: “One ambulance attended the scene.

Upon arrival we found a woman. Unfortunately, it was clear that nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased at the scene.” Meanwhile anyone with information should call Staffordshire Police on 101 and quote incident 779 of December 29.
