Parked cars set on fire in Gloucester as man spotted running from scene

Two parked cars were set on fire in Gloucester[1]. Investigating officers from Gloucestershire Police[2] said a man was seen running away from the scene on Friday, December 8. The fires broke out in Whiteway Road, Matson[3], at around 10pm.

The fire service[4] attended and extinguished a Vauxhall and BMW on the road and there was a small amount of damage to both vehicles. Police said a man was spotted running from the area and are appealing for help from the public to identify him. He is described as tall, possibly in his 20s, with dark hair and wearing a grey tracksuit.

Gloucestershire Police said in a public appeal: “House to house and CCTV enquiries have been carried out in the area and forensic and other checks are ongoing.

However officers still need anyone with information to come forward.

“If you have information please submit it via the following online form[7], quoting incident 439 of 8 December.”
