Pedestrian, 93, dies two days after crash

A 93-year-old woman has died two days after being hit by a car.

Police previously said they were called to an injured pedestrian in Blandford Road North in Upton, Dorset, at about 09:15 GMT on Saturday.

Eileen Symes from Poole died in hospital on Monday, officers said.

In a statement issued by police, her family said she was a “strong-willed and independent lady with a love for life”.
