Pedestrian dies after collision with car near Oxhill

A PEDESTRIAN has died of his injuries after a collision with a car near Oxhill. The man, in his 50s, suffered serious injuries in the collision on the A422 just before 6am this morning (Thursday). He was declared deceased on arrival at hospital.

The driver of the car was not injured. Detective Sergeant Stephen Barr,said: “We are urging any witnesses who were travelling on the A422 this morning who may have seen the pedestrian on the carriageway prior to the collision or have dashcam footage to get in touch with the police. “We are also looking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or stopped to assist to also get in touch please.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and we want to establish exactly what has happened.
