Person airlifted to hospital after two car crash in Newmarket
Two people have been taken to hospital, one by air ambulance following a two car crash in Newmarket[1]. It happened at around 8.20am this morning (January 16) just off the A143 at Stradishall. Two cars were involved in the collision which closed the road for just over two hours.
The fire service, ambulance and air ambulance all attended the scene. Both drivers were taken to hospital, one by air ambulance and one by land ambulance. Their injuries are not currently thought to be life threatening or life changing.
The road was closed whilst recovery work took place but was reopened at 10.55am. Emergency services remain at the scene. Anybody who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Roads and Armed Policing Team, quoting reference CAD 51 of 16 January.
