Person flown to hospital following rollover crash

HARDY, Ark. (KAIT) - One person was injured in a rollover crash in Hardy.

According to Hardy Police Chief Scott Rose, crews responded around 2 p.m. on Tuesday to a semi-truck that had turned over at the intersection of Highway 63 and Oak Ridge Road.

Rose said the truck was carrying frozen food and the Arkansas Department of Health was called to the scene to make sure the food was handled properly.

The driver of the semi was injured in the crash and was flown by medical helicopter to NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Chief Rose said one lane of Highway 63 is blocked.

The fire department is helping manage traffic as crews work to clear the truck from the road.
