Person killed in crash in Dartmouth

4 hours ago DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — The Dartmouth Police Department said that a man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident on Friday. Police said they responded to the area of Gulf Road at Smith Neck Road around 10:30 p.m. for reports of a single car crash with possible ejections.

When they arrived officers found both a male and female laying unresponsive in the roadway near a heavily damaged vehicle. Both victims were treated on the scene before being transported to St. Luke’s Hospital.

The male victim, 18-year-old Jacob Pothier, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The female victim, 44-year-old Kathleen Martins, sustained life-threatening injuries and is in guarded condition.

The department said the incident is still under investigation.
