Police appeal after serious injury crash in Poole

Emergency services were called to a report of a crash on Blandford Road North near Douglas Close involving a blue Ford Focus and a pedestrian shortly before 9.15am this morning. The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 90s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are believed to be very serious. Her family has been informed.

Police officers investigating this serious injury crash on Saturday, January 6 at 9.13am are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any relevant dashcam footage to come forward. Sergeant Richard Stroud, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident, or the manner of driving of the vehicle involved prior to it. “I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the collision to please check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.

“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the incident.”
