Police arrest 3, recover stolen guns, wallets and credit cards
KENT COUNTY, MI - Sheriff's deputies arrested three suspects who were reported to be looking through vehicles in Ada Township.
Deputies recovered stolen credit cards, wallets and guns - and believe the three men arrested are responsible for other crimes in Kent County.
They were arrested after observant residents spotted the suspects looking through vehicles around 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan.
7, in the areas of Adaway Avenue SE and Adaridge Drive SE.
The suspects were in a black Dodge Durango when police reached the scene. One of the suspects fled on foot but was later caught.
Police found a stolen firearm in the area where he was arrested.
Two others, ages 21 and 20, both Grand Rapids men, were arrested near the vehicle.
Police found stolen credit cards, wallets, masks and pistol under the front passenger seat.
The suspects were held in the Kent County Correctional Facility on weapons offenses and resisting and obstructing police.
Police said the residents' calls to 911 were crucial to the arrests.
