Police called to crash involving car and tram in Blackpool

Blackpool Transport said trams will be terminating at the Pleasure Beach “until further notice” due to police activity. A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.44pm, on January 11, to New South Promenade, Blackpool, to a report that a tram had collided with a vehicle and come off the tracks. “Emergency services have attended the scene.”

A spokesperson for Blackpool Transport said: “Unfortunately due to police activity the tram network will be terminating at the Pleasure Beach until further notice.

Apologies for the inconvenience cause.”
