Police incident live at Birmingham City Centre tower block
A police cordon has been erected at a Birmingham City Centre[1] tower block today. Officers are in attendance at Cambridge Tower. The edge of the block, located next to Crescent Tower on Brindley Drive, both near the library and Flapper pub, has been sealed off.
A police van is on the scene and tape stretches around part of the building. A silver tent was seen at the back of the building. The nature of the incident is currently unknown.
BirminghamLive has contacted West Midlands Police[2] for more details and will bring any official updates as they become available. The tower stands between City Centre Gardens and the Birmingham[3] canal network next to Lyon Queensway. The cordon runs for about 20 feet around the left side of Cambridge Tower.
