Police make four arrests in Newport

Arrests were made in Newport, last night. (Image: IWCP/Google maps) Four people are in custody after Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary was called to Newport, on Saturday night. Officers went to Beauchamp Drive, just after 6pm, following a report of a fight.

A 33-year-old man and a 37 year old woman, both from Newport, were arrested on suspicion of affray.

A 35-year-old man from Sandown was arrested on suspicion of affray, assaulting police, criminal damage and resisting arrest.

A 41-year-old man from Sandown was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of Class A drugs.
