Police name Old Kent Road stab victim as two charged with murder
Carlton McCloud, 47, died on Old Kent Road (Google Street View) Detectives investigating a deadly stabbing[1] on Old Kent Road[2], south east London[3], have named the victim as 47-year-old Carlton McCloud. Mr McCloud died from sharp force trauma to the chest around 6.50am on January 12.
A man and woman have been charged with his murder[4]. Matthew Henry, 39, and Nicole Quamina, 34, will both appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court[5] on Saturday. Metropolitan Police[6] on Friday said: "At around 06:50hrs on Tuesday, January 9, officers were called to reports of an injured man on Old Kent Road[7], SE1.
"Despite the efforts of emergency services, the victim - Carlton McCloud, aged 47 - died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported. "A post mortem examination found the cause of death to be sharp force trauma to the chest."
Two others have been arrested on suspicion of murder as part of the investigation.
On Tuesday a 54-year old man and a 38-year-old woman were arrested and have since been bailed.
