Police update after teen ‘seriously injured’ in Knutsford Road crash
An emergency service presence was visible on Knutsford Road in Latchford on Friday afternoon. Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service both attended the incident, close to the Co-op store on the road, at around 4pm. Officers confirmed on Friday that a teenage girl suffered ‘serious’ injuries and was taken to hospital, with the road closed heading towards the town centre between Co-op and Grove Street.
In an update this morning, a force spokesman said: “The teenager has been released from hospital and no arrests were made.” Emergency services at the scene on Knutsford Road (Image: Warrington Guardian) In a statement on Friday, a spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 4pm on Friday, January 21, police were called to reports of a collision on Knutsford Road, Warrington.
“Officers attended and found that a pedestrian – a teenage girl – had been involved in a collision with a car, a white Audi A1. “The teenager is believed to have sustained serious but not life-changing injuries. She is being treated by paramedics.
“The driver of the car is uninjured.
“Knutsford Road is currently closed westbound while emergency services deal with the incident.”
