Sandbanks crash: girl remains in hospital more than week later

The girl, 17 and from Poole[1], was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with very serious injuries after an early-hour crash on Banks Road. She was the passenger in a black Mercedes which crashed with a grey BMW at around 1am on Boxing Day last year. Asked for an update, a spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “The injured girl remains in hospital and there is no significant update on her condition at this time.”

The spokesperson added no arrests have been made since the crash, which left two others with minor injuries. Inspector Craig Tatton, of the roads policing team, said he wanted to hear from people who may have witnessed the crash or have dashcam footage of the incident.
