Sandbanks crash: no arrests yet made after girl injured
The 17-year-old girl from Poole[1] was airlifted to hospital with “very serious injuries” following the incident in the early hours of Boxing Day, December 26. A black Mercedes, in which the girl was a passenger, was involved in a collision with a grey BMW at around 1am on Banks Road. The teenager was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital after being cut free from the vehicle by firefighters.
Providing an update on Wednesday, January 10, a Dorset Police spokesperson said: “The injured teenager remained in hospital at the time of our last condition update, no arrests have been made and our investigation remains ongoing.” Two other people were treated for minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment. Following the incident, Dorset Police issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed the crash or had dashcam footage to contact them.
