It is believed there are no serious injuries to any of the occupants of the vehicles, police say. The westbound carriageway has been closed between Swavesey and Fenstanton and is likely to remain closed for several hours while recovery takes place and the road is gritted.

Reports of a separate three-vehicle collision on the eastbound carriageway came in just after 8am, but that has since been cleared.

Police are advising motorists to take extra care due to the weather conditions and icy road surfaces across Cambridgeshire.
