Severe delays on A14 after police called to incident near Suffolk border
There are currently long delays on the A14 near Newmarket (Image: Google Maps) There were severe delays on the A14 after police were called to an incident. Officers were called to the scene of the incident on the westbound carriageway just past Newmarket.
According to National Highways there were severe delays of around 45 minutes in the area.
In a tweet they said: “We’re reporting delays in excess of 45 minutes above usual journey times on the A14 westbound between junction 36 and junction 35 due to a Cambridgeshire Police incident.”
According to the AA Traffic Map traffic was queueing back past Newmarket.
