Stoke City vs Ipswich Town live

Stoke City are back at the bet365 Stadium to start the new year with a Championship match against Ipswich Town. Stoke return to headquarters following a Boxing Day win at Birmingham City[1] and Friday night draw with Watford[2] for what will be Steven Schumacher’s second home match as new head coach. His side head into this game with a five-match mini unbeaten run but knowing they need to turn more draws into wins in the second half of the season.

Ben Wilmot has made his return from a knee injury but Schumacher is without Lynden Gooch (calf), Josh Laurent (ankle) and Mehdi Leris (concussion) while Tyrese Campbell and Enda Stevens remain on the comeback trail. This will be Junior Tchamadeu’s last match[3] before he flies to Ivory Coast to represent Cameroon in the African Cup of Nations. Ipswich arrive in the Potteries on the back of home draws with Leicester and QPR but Kieran McKenna’s squad has been rocked by a sickness bug,[4] infecting Wes Burns and Nathan Broadhead among others.

Former Port Vale midfielder Sam Morsy, however, returns after suspension.
