Stretch of M74 closed as emergency services attend to collision
A stretch of the M74 has been closed due to a crash during rush hour on Monday morning. Emergency services were alerted to a crash at around 8am after temperatures plummeted to -5C overnight. Lane one northbound has been blocked at Junction 6 in Hamilton.
Traffic Scotland issued a warning advising drivers of delays on the motorway.

Tyndrum and Altnaharra were Scotland’s coldest spots, both dropping to a lows of -7.6C. Glasgow dropped to -5.1C, while Edinburgh dropped to -1.9C. Fair Isle in Shetland stayed above freezing with a low of 3.7C.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
