Teen arrested after incident which saw paramedics and police called to Plymouth school
Police have arrested a young teen after an incident at a Plymouth school which left two people needing hospital treatment. South Western Ambulance Service confirmed it sent two land ambulances following an incident at the Plymstock School in Church Road on Thursday morning. Witnesses have told PlymouthLive that they saw the ambulances and police at the school and claimed they were there to treat two juveniles who had suffered ill-effects from smoking vapes which may have contained unknown substances.
One witness claimed that a young person had been arrested in connection with the matter. While the issue of vapes nor the ages of the people who have fallen ill has not been confirmed by police when asked by PlymouthLive, Devon and Cornwall Police did confirm that they arrested a 14-year-old boy after being called to the school.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called by the ambulance service to Plymstock School, Plymouth, at around 10.45am on Thursday 4 January, after concern was raised for the welfare of two people.
