Teenager seriously injured after being ‘stabbed’ in Leamington Spa

A teenage boy suffered serious injuries after he was allegedly stabbed in Leamington Spa[1]. It reportedly happened on St Margarets Road on Sunday (January 14). Police say they were called to reports of a fight near Orchard Supermarket in Whitnash at around 1.20pm.

A teenage boy was believed to have been attacked with a weapon and left seriously injured. A 15-year-old boy from Birmingham[2] has been arrested in connection with the incident, said Warwickshire Police[3]. Officers have remained at the scene today (Monday, January 15).

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police[5] said: “Police were called following an alleged assault which took place on St Margarets Road in Leamington Spa[6]. A fight was reported to have taken place outside Orchard Supermarket, during which the victim was alleged to have been attacked with a weapon. “A teenage boy was taken to hospital for serious injuries.

A 15-year-old boy from Birmingham[7] was arrested today (Monday, January 15) in relation to this incident. “Enquiries are ongoing. If you have any information, if you saw anything, or if you have any dashcam or CCTV footage that could assist with our investigation, contact us citing incident 131 of January 14.”

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service[8] said: “We were called to reports of a stabbing on St Margarets Road at 1.29pm yesterday (January 14). One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance[9] attended the scene. “We discovered one patient, a teenage male.

He was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to hospital by land ambulance.”
