UPDATE on A9 crash at Borgue: Man in 60s taken to hospital

The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) sent an update on the one-vehicle crash[2] on the A9 at Borgue, north of Berriedale, this morning. An SAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 9.54am on Thursday to attend an incident in Caithness. We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one male patient in his 60s to Caithness General Hospital.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving one vehicle on the A9 near to Berriedale at around 10am on Thursday, January 4.
The ambulance service was contacted.”
Traffic Scotland said the A9 at Borgue was restricted in both directions, with motorists advised to “use caution”.
