West Lothian suspect chased down by hero police dog after robbery in busy street
A suspect was chased down when he attempted to flee the scene in West Lothian.[1] On Sunday, West Lothian police were called to a business in Broxburn at around 12.05pm after receiving reports of a suspected robbery[2]. A man legged it but police dog Cairo was on the scene and a chase between the pair broke out.
Police Scotland explained that the man in question was then cornered in the graveyard by the hound before officers arrested him. Join Edinburgh Live's Whatsapp Community here[5] and get the latest news sent straight to your messages.

Cairo's handler spotted the male & the pair gave chase, containing him in a graveyard.
No escape for him though, especially when @PSOSRoads helped arrest him. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 12.05pm on Sunday, 7 January, to a report of a robbery at a premises on East Main Street in Broxburn. "No one was injured.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
