Dramatic footage has emerged of a wild police chase on a busy road after a man was pulled over by cops and allegedly attempted to flee on foot.
The shocking incident occurred on West Coast Drive in Trigg, north Perth[2], on New Year’s Eve on Sunday.
The 29-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer who was pulled over by officers during a routine traffic stop was allegedly driving without a license.
Footage shared to Instagram[3] showed the moment the man, who was wearing a black singlet, walked away from an officer.

He walked onto the road which forced several cars that were travelling along the busy strip to stop.
The officer followed closely behind and tried to grab him before the man broke free.
He ran onto the other side of the road with stunned beachgoers watching on.
Multiple police officers on motorcycles raced to the scene and attempted to help their colleague bring the man to a stop.
A pedestrian intervened to try and stop the man but the driver managed to weave past him.
The driver backtracked to where his car was resting when he was rammed into a wall by a motorcycle.
Moments later the man was caught by police ending the bizarre chase on foot.
A Western Australian Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia the man allegedly tried to drive off as officers were speaking to him.

‘Whilst speaking with officers, the male driver attempted to drive off and an officer removed his keys from the ignition,’ he said.
‘This prompted the driver to alight from the vehicle.
‘It will be further alleged the man pushed a police officer before running away.
He was apprehended by police officers in the driveway of a home on West Coast Drive and during this arrest, allegedly kicked a police officer.’
The man was charged with driving without a license and two counts of obstructing police.
He is set to face court at a later date.
