Woman killed in A66 crash was devoted wife

A woman who died following a crash on the A66 was a “beloved and devoted” wife, sister and aunt, her family said.

Maureen Henley died in hospital following the crash between two vehicles close to the Bridgefoot roundabout near Workington on 22 December.

Family members described the 72-year-old as a keen pianist and horse-rider.

A 19-year-old man from Cleator Moor who was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released on police bail as investigations into the crash continue.
