A6108 Leyburn Road crash: Van drivers suffers fractured shoulder

Officers have appealed for information following the collision on the  A6108 Leyburn[1] Road, at the Bellerby junction.

A North Yorkshire[2] Police spokesperson said: “It happened at 3.50pm on Wednesday, February 21, when a silver Kia is believed to have pulled out of the junction onto Leyburn Road causing a white Ford Transit National Highways van to crash into a farmer’s fence.

“The driver of the Kia, who is described as in her 50s or 60s, initially stopped to speak to the driver of the van but left the scene before providing any of her details.

“The driver of the van suffered a fractured shoulder and was taken to hospital for treatment and further checks.Darlington and Stockton Times: Scene of crash A6108 Leyburn Road, at the Bellerby junction

“Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone who has any dash-cam footage that may have captured something, to get in touch as soon as possible to assist the investigation.”
