Car overturns in horror Edinburgh crash as emergency services rush to busy road
A car has overturned in a horror crash on a major Edinburgh road as emergency services[1] rushed to the scene. Junction one of the M90 near Newbridge was partially blocked following the collision[2], which is understood to have involved just one car, at around 12pm on Saturday, February 10. Footage shared online by one passer-by shows police closing several lanes of the busy carriageway just before the Queensferry Crossing[3] as a vehicle is then seen on its roof near the central reservation.
Several people can be seen speaking with officers as medics also rushed to the scene. Trunk road incident support vehicles assisted the emergency services with traffic and clearing debris from the road. It is understood the road reopened just over an hour later following recovery of the smashed vehicle, with Traffic Scotland saying: “CLEAR: 13:10 M90 Junction 1 Scotstoun.
