Drivers’ lucky escape as multi-vehicle M6 crash leaves car on roof

Two drivers escaped with minor injuries are a multi-vehicle crash on the M6 in Staffordshire left one car on its roof. Police, fire engines and paramedics were called to the collision the southbound carriageway[1] this afternoon (February 15).

An HGV and two cars were involved in the smash close junction 13 for Stafford South. It led to all traffic being temporarily held as the emergency services dealt with the aftermath.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that the drivers of both cars sustained minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment. The trucker was unhurt.

A spokesman said: “We were called at 12.26pm to a road traffic collision involving two cars and a HGV on the M6 between junctions 13 and 12 in Dunston. One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene. Upon arrival we found two patients who were the drivers of the cars.

“Both were assessed and had sustained minor injuries. They received self care advice from ambulance staff before being discharged at the scene. The driver of the HGV did not require treatment.”
