Emergency services at scene of serious M26 crash

The incident happened on the on the M26 London-bound[1] just after 7am today (February 14) and involves a van and a lorry.

Kent Police are at the scene, along with three fire engines from Kent Fire and Rescue and South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The road remains closed and the incident is ongoing.

An unconfirmed report from a driver nearby says there are approximately 25 emergency vehicles at the scene - including ambulance, fire, highway and transporter trucks.

A spokesperson for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service is responding to a crash on the M26, near Dunton Green, involving a van and a lorry.

“Three fire engines are at the scene, with Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service.

“KFRS start time: 7.17am on 14 February.

“KFRS stop time: ongoing as of 9am on 14 February.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police is currently at the scene of a serious collision on the M26 London-bound.

“Officers were called at 7.07am to reports of a collision involving a van and a lorry.

“Kent Fire and Rescue Service and SECAMB are also in attendance.

“The road is currently closed.”
