Four-month-old baby dies after crash between van and taxi in Leeds

A four-month-old baby has died after a crash involving a van and a car in Leeds[1].

A Vauxhall Vivaro van was involved in a head-on collision with a Toyota Auris on the A1620 Horsforth Road near Rodley at about 4.55pm on Monday.

The boy suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he died on Wednesday.

Two women from the Toyota and a man from the Vivaro were also hospitalised.

The driver of the Vivaro, a 54-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and was released on bail yesterday for enquiries to continue.

Anyone who witnessed the collision has been urged to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101.
